A Boston man allegedly kidnapped and assaulted a woman, who told police he threatened to kill her and her child if she told authorities what happened, according to officials.

Peter Bozier, 28, faces a litany of charges stemming from his Tuesday arrest after the woman, who was not identified, reported the incident to police while she was at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, Sudbury Police Chief Scott Nix in a statement Thursday.

The woman had met Bozier on the dating app Tinder, the Boston Globe reported.

In speaking to the victim, detectives learned she had been “severely beaten and held against her will at a Sudbury residence,” Nix said.

“Additionally, the suspect threatened to kill her and her child in trying to intimidate her from reporting circumstances to authorities,” Nix said.

Bozier was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road and brought to the police department, where he was “initially cooperative but turned belligerent, uncooperative, and violent,” Nix said.

“In light of the numerous struggles/altercations that occurred in securing Mr. Bozier in a cell/booking room, the suspect was evaluated by the Sudbury Fire Department for a small cut to his finger,” Nix said. “He then complained of other medical ailments resulting in him being transported to Emerson Hospital in Concord, twice, where he was cleared both times by medical professionals. During the altercations, several officers sustained scrapes, cuts and bruising but medical treatment was not necessary.”

Jean Bozier, Peter Bozier’s father, said that he and his wife saw the victim in his driveway early Monday morning and asker her if she was alright.

“I asked her if she was OK. Right? She said yes,” he said. “We left and went to work. We don’t know anything after that.”

Jean Bozier said he does not have a close relationship with his son. He told the outlet he would have called authorities if he had known what allegedly happened.

“I’m ashamed,” he said. “I regret that happened to her.”

Peter Bozier was brought to Framingham District Court Thursday and was ordered held pending a dangerous hearing slated for next week, according to Nix.

He is charged with kidnapping, strangulation, assault and battery, intimidation of a witness, threats to commit a crime, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation, and two counts each of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a police officer.
