Police in Texas has made two arrests in connection to the murder of a 24-year-old man who was shot and killed in 2021 in Pearland, according to the Houston Police Department.

27-year-old Ronnie Davontay Scott and 21-year-old Nichole Clarke-Crocker were both charged with capital murder in the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Donnie Glover.

Glover had just recently graduated from college and moved to Houston in October of 2020, according to his mother, Shanashee Yarber. But on February 23, 2021, authorities say they received a 911 call from Glover about him being followed by suspects who were trying to steal his vehicle outside of an apartment complex at 4045 Linkwood Drive. Police said the 911 dispatcher then heard gunshots.

When HPD patrol officers arrived, they found Glover’s body towards the back of the complex.

During the investigation, a witness told police that they heard two gunshots, went outside, then heard two more gunshots. The witness then said they saw a Black man dressed in all black. Another witness reportedly saw a man run to the passenger side of a red vehicle and then fled the scene.

HPD investigators said further details led to charges being filed on Crocker, who was already in jail on an unrelated charge.

Charges were filed against Scott on June 15. He was later arrested on June 23.

Scott was out on bond for two aggravated robbery charges prior to this arrest.
