One man is dead and another is in custody after an argument gone wrong in Shorterville, Alabama.

Henry County Sheriff’s Office says that the victim 26-year-old Danny Dale Cullin Jr. and the suspect, 22-year-old Ryan Antonio Tolbert, were at a barbeque.

The barbeque was in the 3700 block of Henry County Road 57 in the Shorterville community.

Henry County Sheriff Will Maddox says the two were fighting over somewhere to sit when Tolbert went home to get a gun.

Then Tolbert came back and allegedly shot Cullin Jr, in the neck with a shotgun.

Tolbert then turned himself into authorities. He has been charged with Capital Murder.

The judge has asked that Tolbert be held in jail on no bond, until his next court appearance.

Tolbert’s next court appearance is scheduled for November 1, 2022.
