A Tennessee man is facing assault and kidnapping charges because he beat his girlfriend after she discovered him cheating with two men, according to a Chattanooga police affidavit.

Officers took 45-year-old Antonio Lamar Collier into custody after a standoff.

A police affidavit revealed on September 20 that Collier beat his girlfriend after they had an argument about him “performing sexual acts with two other men dressed as women.”

The woman said she wanted to leave, but Collier forced her to remain in the room, the report said.

But the woman ended up going outside.

Shortly after, according to the report, Collier came out and struck her, causing bruises on her face and arms.

The two men Collier was with managed to pull him off of the woman, the report noted.

Someone then called police, with arriving officers learning Collier had warrants in East Ridge and was wanted by U.S. Marshals for questioning.

They were told Collier had fled into the woods and they set up a perimeter. They also deployed a K-9, who managed to subdue Collier so officers could put him into custody, the report noted.

The woman told officers she tried to leave after an argument that took place the previous night but said that Collier “wrapped his arm around her neck and dragged her back into the apartment, not releasing her immediately after he got her back inside,” according to the affidavit.

The report noted the woman was encouraged to call a domestic abuse hotline, but she refused, saying she’d do so later.

Collier was charged with false imprisonment and two counts of domestic assault.
