A 14-year-old boy who was shot and killed in Washington, D.C. Monday night was injured in a shooting three weeks before his death, police say.

D.C. police officers found 14-year-old Antoine Manning shot in the 2600 block of Birney Place SE around 8:41 p.m. on Halloween night.

Manning was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries, but did not survive, police said.

Authorities said the shooting was targeted, and that the teen lived on the block. More details on the search for the shooter were not immediately provided.

On October 9, Manning was shot in the ankle in front of his home. D.C. police released surveillance photos of suspects in that shooting. The suspects are still wanted, according to police.

Police have not said if they believe the same suspects were involved in Monday’s shooting.
