3 People Killed and 4 Injured in a House Party Shooting in North Carolina

Police are investigating a shooting that took the lives of three people and wounded four others in the early hours of Saturday, April 3 in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Just after midnight, officers were dispatched to 718 Kidder St. in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival, they discovered a gunfight had erupted inside the home during a house party and seven people were struck by gunfire. Three of the seven are deceased. The remaining four victims are being treated at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

The deceased victims in this case are 22-year-old Zieyah Wade, 21-year-old Shamir Jones, and a 16-year-old female (name withheld due to age).

The victims who are currently stable and recovering at NHRMC are 19-year-old Zykeria Crawford, 18-year-old Zymiryon Atkins, 18-year-old Valery Orelus, and 21-year-old Keyshawn James.

Our hearts go out to all affected by this senseless violence, and we ask that anyone with information surrounding this incident please come forward so that we may find justice.
