A woman and her young daughter were found dead Friday in what Tulsa police believe was a murder-suicide.
The woman, identified as 24-year-old Sharaiveon Williams, and her 3-year-old daughter, were found dead at an apartment complex near 61st and Peoria.
The discovery of the tragic scene was made by an employee of the apartment complex.
“We are treating it as a murder-suicide,” said Tulsa police Captain Richard Meulenberg.

“You know I think in times of tragedy people always want a reason,” said Meulenberg.
With no reason known at the moment, and as more people arrived at the scene, tempers flared out of the communal grief.
“Obviously there’s some very upset and emotional family members behind us here as would be expected. So we’re managing, trying to make sure there’s not any fights happening,” he said.
As for the investigation of the scene…
“So this will be treated just like every other homicide. We’re taking statements, we’ve got people down at detective division right now where they’re interviewing them and we also have our crime scene unit out here collecting all the evidence right now,” he said.
Two lives lost, with countless others impacted forever.
“Losing a child is tragic, losing a child because of the acts of the parent is even worse so and that has a profound effect on everybody out here, friends and family,” he said.
