Police have identified the 13-year-old girl killed in a stabbing late Monday afternoon in Syracuse, New York.
Naj’ee Wright died after she was stabbed on West Onondaga Street, Syracuse Police Chief Kenton Buckner said during a news conference Tuesday morning outside city hall. She lived in Auburn, he said.
Naj’ee was the second child killed on the West Side of Syracuse within three days.
Radames Francisco died Friday night after he was shot outside a home in the 400 block of Shonnard Street. He was 15 years old.
Teenagers have been charged in each homicide.
16-year-old Xomara Diaz was arrested Monday and accused of stabbing Naj’ee to death, according to a felony complaint filed in Syracuse City Court. She has been charged with first-degree manslaughter and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

The deadly stabbing happened after an argument between the two girls turned physical, detectives said in the felony complaint. Xomara stabbed Naj’ee once in the chest, police said.
Naj’ee was rushed to Upstate University Hospital. She died about an hour after she was stabbed, police said.
14-year-old Sebastian Oliver was arrested last week for Ramades’ shooting death. He has been charged with second-degree murder and illegally possessing a weapon.
