Early Sunday morning, Biloxi police responded to a 911 call on South Shore Drive in Biloxi, Mississippi for a domestic related incident.
Officers found 34-year-old Keli Mornay and her boyfriend Byrain Johnson dead from gunshot wounds. Their seven-month-old infant son was also found in the house, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He also died of his injuries.
The Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence responds to the tragedy via Facebook. The center expresses their condolences and shares statistics about the reality of domestic violence here on the Coast.
In the Facebook post they write: “We, as a community, must do more to prevent needless injury and death due to intimate partner violence.”

Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence CEO Stacey Riley said, “The realities of what domestic violence can and will lead to, the prevalence of domestic violence in our community here, in South Mississippi as well as the communities across the country and across the world, it happens a lot more than what people realize. The post was to offer some statistical information about the prevalence of that but also if anyone who is in a situation where they’re being abused in any way this is not something that someone has to do by themselves.”
Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer says their bodies are being sent to the Biloxi Crime Lab for an autopsy.
The investigation remains ongoing.
