A woman was arrested on Monday in connection with a shooting at the Radisson Hotel Phoenix Airport that left one man dead and one man critically injured over the weekend.

The woman has been identified by police as 25-year-old Ebony Willis.

Officers responded to the shooting at about 5 a.m. and found two men with gunshot wounds at the scene, said Phoenix police spokesperson Sgt. Andy Williams.

The other man was transported to a local hospital for treatment, while 27-year-old Dallas Summers was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses told police they heard yelling and an argument moments before the shooting, according to Williams.

All three people entered the Radisson Hotel at about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday and made their way to Room 733. The man sent a photograph to his girlfriend of Willis on Summers’ lap. Prior to sending the photograph to his girlfriend, the two men were out at a Scottsdale club.

Multiple gunshots were heard coming from the seventh floor at about 5 a.m.

The injured man fled the room and collapsed on the floor of the lobby, leaving a trail of blood from the staircase down to reception. An employee called 911 and notified police.

The man told police that Willis shot both men and robbed them. Summers was located on the floor of the room with a gunshot injury but was later pronounced dead from his injury.

The injured man was in stable condition but had serious injuries as of Monday, according to court documents.

Video surveillance recovered from the scene shows Willis fleeing the room with only one glittery sandal on her left foot. In the room, police located the other glittery sandal, a pair of blue jeans, identification cards for both victims and a tag for a 2020 blue Chevrolet Malibu and shell casings.

Police later located Willis driving her mother’s blue Chevrolet Malibu rental car. In an interview with police, Willis denied ever knowing the men or staying in a hotel room with them even after she was shown a picture of herself exiting the premises.

A search of her apartment produced a handgun and ammunition that matched the casings located in the hotel room, police said.

Willis was later booked into a Maricopa County jail and was charged with one count of murder in the first degree, two counts of armed robbery with a deadly weapon and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. A preliminary hearing has been set for September 2, and she is being held on a $1 million bond.
