35-year-old Olga Diaz pleaded guilty in April to two counts of first degree aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child by causing or permitting a child to be portrayed in a sexually suggestive manner and filming it, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office announced Monday.
Diaz will be 64 before becoming eligible for parole. Upon release, she will be required to register under Megan’s Law and placed on parole supervision for life, the office said.
“The depths of depravity necessary for two people to plan and commit a crime of this nature together, against a helpless child, are both beyond the capacity of the English language to suitably articulate and beyond the capacity of human comprehension to adequately understand,” Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey said in a statement. “There is no place in any civilized society for anyone capable of such acts.”

While pleading guilty, Diaz admitted that she and 37-year-old Jaime Mauricio Leon, planned via text message, the sexual assault of the child. She also admitted taking nude pictures of the child on June 15, 2017, the office said. She said she made a video of herself sexually assaulting the toddler the following the day. Then sent the video and the pictures to Leon, the office said.
Leon later traveled to Long Branch, where he and Diaz sexually assaulted the child together and were seen by a passerby who saw the acts happening through a window of a Seaview Avenue apartment unit, officials said. The passerby immediately reported the findings to the Long Branch Police Department.
The department provided evidence of Diaz and Leon committing the acts upon the toddler while engaging in sexual acts with each other, authorities said. The child appeared to be asleep, but an investigation revealed that Diaz provided her with sleeping medication, officials said. The text messages, images and video the pair shared were also recovered by police.
Diaz knew the child, but their exact relationship was not disclosed by the office.
Leon was sentenced in 2019 to 25 years in state prison on charges of first degree aggravated sexual assault and second degree possession of child pornography, officials said.
