A Middle Tennessee woman out on bail for the alleged murder of her girlfriend is among two others arrested Wednesday night after police stopped a vehicle speeding in Nashville.
The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) reports the traffic stop was initiated after detectives observed one of the passengers carrying a firearm with an extended magazine earlier in the evening. Later Wednesday night, police say the vehicle was seen driving 60 mph in a 40 mph zone.
Inside, they found 18-year-old Ricardo DeLeon of Georgia who was the man with the extended magazine firearm and who admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle. They also found 26-year-old Keriesha Majors, who was out on bond for the October 2019 homicide of her girlfriend Kaylin Smith. Majors admitted to having a stolen .40 caliber Smith & Wesson which had been reported stolen in 2018.
Police also took 25-year-old passenger Tywan Hatcher into custody after discovering he was wanted on five warrants, including felony theft, felony evading, and failure to appear. The driver of the vehicle was given a ticket for speeding and a fifth person in the vehicle was not arrested.
