A mother of two was killed in an alleged road rage accident in Lumberton, Mississippi on October 31, 2021. Three men were arrested for the shooting.
What started as a minor car accident turned into something far more tragic. It ended in death.
Two vehicles involved in the car accident allegedly side swiped each other off Myrick Avenue near 8th Street.
Both vehicles pulled over after the accident. Three men allegedly exited the vehicle they occupied and opened fire on the other vehicle.
24-year-old Kayla Milon was sitting in the back passenger seat when she was shot and killed. Multiple shots were fired, striking Kayla in the head and grazing the driver. One of the weapons used was an AK-47.
Three men, 24-year-old Javelton Terrell Easterling, 21-year-old Michael Evon Jones, Jr., and 19-year-old Samuel Lee Smith, were taken into custody on charges including murder and aggravated assault.
Kayla had just given birth to her second child just six weeks prior. She also leaves behind a 4 year old.

It’s unclear how the accident occured.
The three were denied bond by Anderson and returned to the Lamar County Jail.
