27-Year-Old Florida Woman Charged With Killing Her Own Little Sister At Her Home In New Jersey

A Florida woman shot and killed her little sister after an argument about money at a home in New Jersey on Tuesday, according to NJ News.

27-year-old Angielly Dominguez shot and killed her little sister, 21-year-old Omelly Dominguez, at the sister’s home in Little Ferry.

Little Ferry police received a report of a stabbing at the home on Tuesday. When officers arrived, they found Omelly slumped over a couch. She was pronounced deceased with a gunshot wound to her head.

Omelly’s 16-year-old brother told police when he came home from school about 3:40 p.m. he heard his sisters arguing over money followed by a gunshot, according to NJ News. 

Angielly had driven up from her home in Jacksonville, Florida, and was staying with her younger sister, Omelly, and other family members at their mom’s home, according to the Daily Voice. 

Angielly apparently had asked her sister for money to stay in a hotel around 4 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Daily Voice. Omelly apparently refused, saying she’d already done plenty for her older sister.

The brother said he saw “Angielly standing in the living room and staring at him” before walking out of the house.

Angielly was recorded on the home’s Ring doorbell security camera leaving the home around the time of the shooting and before Little Ferry police officers arrived.

The suspect’s boyfriend told police that Angielly left the state with his car and “all of his firearms.”

Neww Jersey State troopers pulled over Angielly and arrested her on the New Jersey Turnpike near mile marker 31 in Cherry Hill.

Angielly Dominguez was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose and third-degree hindering her own apprehension, the prosecutor said.

Dominguez was held in the Bergen County Jail pending a first court appearance, Musella said.
