A friend of the man on trial in the murder of a Fort Valley State University student from Atlanta revealed chilling new details about why she was killed in court this week.

23-year-old Anitra Gunn was found dead in a wooded area of Crawford County, Georgia days after she was reported missing in 2020.

Gunn was a graduate of Westlake High School in Atlanta.

Her boyfriend, Demarcus Little, was arrested in connection to her death days later.

Prosecutors believe Little, an Army sergeant at Fort Gordon, strangled Gunn to death on Valentine’s Day .

Little is currently on trial for the murder in Peach County.

This week, his friend Jaivon Abron testified against his friend, telling jurors that Little confessed that he killed Gunn in a fit of rage.

Abron said that on February 16, Little told him that he poured his heart out to Gunn on Valentine’s Day, telling her how much he loved her.

Little said Gunn laughed in his face. After that, he told Abron, “I don’t know what happened,” and that he blacked out and hit her before grabbing her and choking her.

Little told Abron that Gunn fought back but eventually gave up, and that Little felt she wanted to “go home to be with her mom,” who died in 2014.

According to Abron, Little said, “I had to get rid of her.”

Little then took Abron to the place he had dumped Gunn’s body to pick up a car bumper that they later dumped on the side of the highway.

Abron has been charged with tampering with evidence and making false statements to police.
