The Broward Sheriff’s Office says it’s looking for a 34-year-old who has a history of domestic violence as the main suspect in Wednesday morning’s killing of a woman and a teenage girl in a North Lauderdale, Florida townhome community.
Social media mourners identified the woman as 32-year-old Jennifer Bellony and her 15-year-old daughter Anastasia. Their bodies were found about 15 yards apart outside Bellony’s Willow Woods Townhomes unit, where she lived with her daughter and two sons in the 7900 block of Tam O’Shanter Boulevard.
In an April 5 Facebook post, Bellony wrote, “Today I want to show appreciation to my daughter who is my angel. This little girl is the reason of change in me, my motivation, access of unconditional love, and who made me a mother. Anastasia I love you with everything in me, I know the world isn’t prepared for what you’re going to bring to it.”
BSO believes their killer is Andre Anglin, 34, against whom Bellony took out a domestic violence restraining order in February 2018. That remained in place until Bellony didn’t show up for a hearing on April 4, 2018. She showed up April 5, 2018 and got the restraining order reinstated until April 17, 2018.
Anglin also received probation after a domestic violence incident in 2009.
BSO said detectives don’t have a last known address for Anglin, but they know he’s often in Margate.
Online Broward County court records say Anglin was living in the 6700 block of Sierra Club Drive in Lauderhill when he got traffic tickets in July and October of last year. One case entry says Anglin stands 5-foot-10.
Those who have information about this case or Anglin’s whereabouts can call BSO Det. John Curcio at 954-321-4212.
