Ward 9 City of Cleveland Councilman Kevin Conwell is imploring the public to do the right thing and help investigators solve this crime.
“Somebody’s gotta tell me something. When I heard that they weren’t talking with police officers and when I reached out to the commanders, they said some of the people were hostile and I told police, I’ll walk with you guys and find out what’s going on,” he said.
Abe’bre’anna’s mother, Whitney Bryant, wrote on Facebook:
“It is with broken hearts that we share the devastating news that our daughter, Abe’bre’anna M. Jackson, was tragically shot and murdered in a drive by shooting in the late hours of Sunday May 22, 2022. Abe’bre’anna was a joy to our entire family and we want all to know that she was incredible. She fought hard to enter this world as a premature baby, she overcame so much. She was super smart, she was our family “diva,” she always wanted her hair done, she was talented, beautiful, and brave. Her fellow students, teachers and staff at Franklin D. Roosevelt enjoyed having her in school. Abe’bre’anna loved being a sister to all of her brothers and sisters. She was deeply loved by her parents, mom, Alexis Jackson, dad and step-mom John and Jocelyn Watkins, her brothers and sisters, and her entire family. The family is requesting prayers and privacy at this time. This is an unimaginably sad time and absolutely devastating. If you would like to support the entire family all cards, words of encouragement, donations and offerings are being sent to New Life At Calvary Church 2020 East 79th St. Cleveland, OH 44103 in care of “The Jackson/Watkins Family.” Cash App $2NLAC Please keep the entire family in your prayers.”
