A 15-year-old Ohio girl was arrested Monday after the fatal stabbing of her brother in Springfield Township, police said.

According to police, the girl stabbed her 16-year-old brother at their apartment on Meredith Drive following an argument.

Valentino Brewton was visiting his mother who lives in the same complex. He said he was in his car when the victim came running out of his apartment.

“He just didn’t know where to go. When he left the house, he was just running anywhere just trying to get, to see somebody outside, and I was just about to pull off,” Brewton said.

Brewton said the teen was bleeding from the chest area and he tried to help him.

“I kept trying to hold it so no blood would come out. That was the best I could do. I kept talking to him the whole time, kept telling him to breathe,” Brewton said. “He kept bleeding. He said his sister stabbed him.”

The boy was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center by Springfield Township Paramedics where he was later pronounced dead.

Police later arrested his sister and charged her with murder.
