The body of a missing Raceland, Louisiana man was found in Idaho today, ending a nearly week-long search after he was reported missing.
Everette Roman Jackson, of Raceland, was reported missing after he went tubing in Idaho during a trip with his girlfriend. He was a Central Lafourche High School graduate and a basketball player at LSU-Eunice.
After being reported missing, locals took to Idaho to help in the search with thousands raised in relief efforts and the United Cajun Navy pitching in to assist in the search, as well. Earlier this week, Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre also chimed in saying that he had spoken to authorities in Idaho and had offered his support and prayers during the tough time.
Jackson is remembered as a fun-loving, talented individual who loved the company of friends and family.
Funeral arrangements will be set in the coming days.
“Please keep Everette’s family and loved ones in your prayers in the coming days and weeks,” a statement from LSU Eunice reads.
