Jackson police in Mississippi have identified a suspect in connection with a shooting that killed a woman and injured a man.
Officers were called at about 4 a.m. Tuesday to the 3100 block of Fleetwood Drive.
Police said 26-year-old Terrencia Jackson and her boyfriend were laying in bed when shots were fired. Jackson was shot multiple times and succumbed to her injuries. Her boyfriend was taken to a hospital.
Police did not release the boyfriend’s name or information about his condition.
Investigators are searching for 29-year-old Zverian Brent who police officials said is suspected in the case. Anyone with information about Brent’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS.
