Police in Alabama say a woman was killed and a second person was injured in a shooting in Talladega Thursday night.
The Talladega Police Department said officers responded to the 400 block of Brignoli Street just before 9:00 p.m. after getting a call about a possible gunshot victim.
Police said when officers arrived, they found a 30-year-old man with a single gunshot wound to the hand. Police said the officers were then directed to a silver Nissan Altima in the back yard of a residence.
Police said the officers found 19-year-old Kelis Brenae Cook in the front passenger seat with multiple gunshot wounds. Police said she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Multiple shell casings were located on Brignoli St. near where the car left the roadway.
Police said there are no suspects at this time and investigators asked that anyone who may have information about this incident to contact the Talladega Police Department at 256-362-4163, Investigations Division at 256-362-4508 or by leaving a tip with CrimeStoppers at 334-215-STOP (7867) or 1-833-AL1-STOP.
