An apparent murder-suicide in Michigan has claimed the lives of four people, including a 13-year-old boy.

About 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 10, sheriff’s deputies responded to a Houghton Lake residence after two people reported they had found four bodies inside. Inside, deputies found the bodies of 35-year-old Tirany L. Savage, her 13-year-old son Dayton Cowdrey, her 58-year-old mother Kim L. Ebright, and her 35-year-old husband Bo E. Savage.

All four were deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. The matter is being investigated as a murder-suicide.

The four descendants lived at the residence where their bodies were found.

There is no evidence any other persons were involved in the incident, with deputies saying they believe there is no danger to the public.

Deputies did not confirm who among the four dead killed the other three.

“There is still an extensive amount of investigation to be done in this case,” said Undersheriff Ben Lowe. “It would not be prudent to comment on those issues until the investigation is complete and evidence has been processed.”

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the many friends and family who have been devastated by this loss,” the sheriff’s office stated in a press release. “Roscommon County contains wonderful, close-knit communities who rally around those who are struggling and in need. We encourage the people of this community to show their love and support to the many people who have been devastated by this horrific and senseless tragedy.”

Bo Savage worked as a graphic designer and web developer, operating Komic Graphics.
