A Michigan man is being held without bond after allegedly killing his wife and three kids.
Police have released the man’s mugshot, which is graphic, as he allegedly attempted to take his own life, but survived.
According to the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office, deputies formerly took 51-year-old Charles Robert Gillard Sr. into custody June 28. Gillard faces multiple felony charges in the shooting deaths of his wife, 40-year-old Dawn Gillard and their three children 6-year-old Katelynn Gillard, 4-year-old Ronald Gillard, and 3-year-old Joshua Gillard.
Gillard survived and after being released from the hospital was arrested on murder charges.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred Friday, May 27. About 2:30 p.m., police responded to a residence north of Stanwood in Austin Township, and found three children under the age of 10 years old and an adult female dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
He was arrested in late June after being released from the hospital. The murders took place on May 27.
