A pack of monkeys attacked a father holding his baby son in Bareilly, India. The wild animals managed to kidnap the infant and throw him off a third-story rooftop, killing him instantly, according to reports.
The father, Nirdesh Upadhyay, and his wife were on the rooftop with their 4-month-old baby when the monkeys attacked them, according to DNA India.
The couple apparently tried to shoo the monkeys away but were unsuccessful.
While his wife escaped the wrath of the monkeys, Upadhyay while holding the baby was cornered. While trying to run away, he dropped their son. One of the monkeys grabbed the baby boy and toss him off the rooftop, killing the infant.
According to India Times, the baby died instantly. The baby was being prepped for his naming ceremony when the tragic incident occurred. He is survived by his parents
