The North Las Vegas officer in Nevada who killed his daughter before turning the gun on himself following a dispute has been identified.
In a statement released by the North Las Vegas Police Department, Israel Molina, a 6-year veteran assigned to patrol, was identified as the officer involved in Sunday’s murder-suicide.
“Our hearts truly go out to the family, and we offer our deepest condolences to all those affected,” the statement concluded.

Police were called out to the officer’s home just after 4 a.m. on July 17.
LVMPD SWAT responded and made an emergency entry into the residence, where they located a juvenile and Molina deceased, suffering from gunshot wounds.
According to police, the incident happened following a confrontation between Molina and his wife, where the couple’s two children were also involved.
The mother and son both suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
