Police in Oklahoma are looking for the suspect(s) in a road rage incident on the city’s southwest side Monday evening that left two people injured.
The Oklahoma City Police Department say they responded to a call on a double shooting that occurred near SW 22nd and Blackwelder around 7:20 p.m on Monday. Upon arrival, police found 19-year-old Aaliyah Quintero-Lopez and a 16-year-old boy.
Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital where Quintero-Lopez ended up passing away from her injuries. The 16-year-old was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
At this point in the investigation, police believe that the two victims were riding together in the same car when they became involved in a road-rage incident with at least one other vehicle. This altercation, police say, is what led to the shooting.
No arrests have been made in this case and investigators say they do not have a definitive description of the suspect(s).
Anyone who has any information on this case, they are asked to call the Homicide Tip-Line at (405) 297-1200.
