A Texas woman accused of driving a car during a deadly shooting outside an oyster bar has been arrested on a murder charge, police officials said Tuesday. Another suspect was arrested shortly after.
24-year-old Rachel Ramona Rivota was taken into custody on Friday by the U.S. Marshal’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, police said. She is being held on a $1 million bond at the El Paso County Jail in Downtown.
Rachel Ramona Rivota was arrested on a murder charge. She is accused of being the driver of a car used in a shooting that killed a man on Sept. 18 outside the 10-4 Oyster Pub, 12275 Pellicano Drive in far East El Paso.
Rivota allegedly was driving a car during a shooting that killed 35-year-old Christopher Ryan Correa early on Sept. 18 behind the 10-4 Oyster Pub at 12275 Pellicano Drive in the Americas area of the far East Side, police said.
Security camera video recorded a man, whom detectives later identified as 26-year-old Alexander Diaz, exit the passenger side of a car and walk up to Correa and shoot him multiple times with a rifle, police said. Rivota allegedly was the driver of the car.
Diaz was arrested later that same day on a murder charge following an investigation by homicide detectives with the Crimes Against Persons Unit. Diaz remains jailed under a $1 million bond at the Downtown jail.
