A 19-year-old pregnant woman was fatally shot early Sunday morning in Maryland, Baltimore police said.
Police said officers responded to the 5600 block of Woodmont Avenue just after 3 a.m. for reports of a shooting. They arrived and found the 19-year-old woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said. They did not disclose the condition of the baby.
Police identified the victim as Jaymyra Burrell.
The investigation is ongoing.
