A 30-year-old Mississippi woman was shot and killed in Jackson by a 17-year-old boy on Wednesday.
The shooting happened in the 100 block of Woody Drive. Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham-Stewart identified the victim as 30-year-old Roquia Crawford.
Jackson police said Crawford had been shot multiple times. They also recovered shell casings at the scene.
Police said they arrested 17-year-old Elijahwon Burns in connection to the shooting.
He was charged with murder.
