A Florida woman is dead and her husband is charged with murder following a domestic violence incident in a Crestview home Wednesday morning.
According to Crestview Police, the homicide took place around 4 a.m. at a home in the 100-block of Nun Drive.
Upon arrival, officers found 31-year-old Rictaysha Barnum shot and killed inside the home.
Police say her husband, 30-year-old Camden Tyre Barnum, was identified as the shooter and taken into custody. He is charged with murder.
“The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation but appear to be associated with domestic violence within the home,” Crestview Police say in a release.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is assisting Crestview Police in the investigation.
