A 15-year-old Tennessee boy and a 21-year-old man have been indicted for the murder of Memphis pastor Dr. Autura Eason-Williams.

Williams was shot to death in her driveway on Whitehaven Lane during a carjacking around 4 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2022.

Family and friends remembered the reverend as an infectious spirit of love and a leader in the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference of the United Methodist Church.

“Warm, loving… If you came into contact with her, her spirit would be all over you,” said Rep. Karen Camper. When remembering Eason-Williams. She is a warm, loving person, you can not come into contact with her, without feeling her warm spirit. Its impossible.”

Authorities said that 15-year-old Miguel Andrade, who is being tried as an adult for the first-degree murder of Eason-Williams, and 21-year-old Eduard Rodriguez-Tabora were the people responsible for the faith leader’s death.

Both have been indicted on two counts of first-degree murder and especially aggravated robbery.

The first-count of first-degree murder relates to the premediated killing of Eason-Williams and the second relates to the killing of Eason-Williams during the perpetration of a robbery, according to the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office.

Tabora was given a $1M bond on October 19, 2022. Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy’s Office said that they requested a $600,000 bond for Andrade, but the court granted the 15-year-old a $200,000 bond instead.

Andrade has since posted bail.

Another teenager, 15 at the time of the shooting, pled guilty to his part in Eason-Williams’ death and surrendered to remain in child services until he is 19.

Eason-Williams car was found later that fateful night, wrecked out at Lyncherburg Street and Steuben Drive, according to police.

Police said that video surveillance showed Eason-Williams driving that car, an Infiniti Q50, into her driveway and being followed by a Hyundai.

Two masked people got out and ran up to the pastor’s car, one of whom fired several shots, hitting the reverend, according to MPD.

Police said the suspects then pulled her from her car, got into her driver’s seat and took off.

Six 9mm shell casings were found at the scene, according to police.
