Asheville Police Department in North Carolina confirmed two people are dead after a shooting at an Asheville apartment complex.

According to APD, the victims were shot Sunday, February 26 at Maple Crest Apartments on Lee Garden Lane. Patrol officers were dispatched to the apartments at 4:13 p.m., where they found two people already deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.

Police identified the victims as 28-year-ole Sabrina Ann Black and 32-year-old David Jerome Owen. Authorities confirm, the next of kin has been notified.

Criminal Investigations Division detectives and forensic technicians were processing the scene, with the assistance of the N.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

No other details are being released at this time.
