Authorities in Missouri have identified a 15-year-old Girl who was shot and killed on Tuesday, according to police.
15-year-old Emily Valentine was shot on Minnesota Avenue near Winnebago Street in the St. Louis.
Police responded to the scene at about 7:40 p.m. When officers arrived, they found Valentine on a parking pad and learned that she had suffered a gunshot wound to her face. Valentine was rushed to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives have now taken over the investigation as they try to piece together what led to that violence.
Police do have a person of interest they’re working to bring into custody.
