A Louisiana woman severely beaten earlier this month has died and has been named by the Caddo Parish Coroner’s office.
On March 2, Shreveport police were contacted in regards to a violent attack of a woman in the 2400 block of Highland Avenue.
Heaven Weed later died at 1:46 p.m. on March 10 at Ochsner LSU Health hospital. The 23-year-old lost her life one week after a family member reportedly found her.
An autopsy has been ordered.
Brandon Lindsey was found and placed under arrest on March 3 for one count of attempted second-degree murder, as well as additional warrants from other jurisdictions. He now faces an upgraded second-degree murder charge.
