Fort Smith police arrested a 15-year-old boy they said shot and killed a woman working as a clerk at an Arkansas convenience store in March.

Kemuel Mark Andrew Stucki is being charged as an adult, police said.

Police used SWAT to arrest Stucki on Thursday in connection to a gas station robbery in Barling in December 2022.

Friday, they announced the boy is also the suspect in the killing of Channell Moore.

A tip about a black Mercedes on Mayo Drive led police to surveillance video that led them to Stucki. They believe the Mercedes belonged to his father.

Police said they had additional evidence that linked Stucki to the murder but declined to say what it was.

Police said Stucki had not previously been on their radar.

An arraignment was scheduled for May 10.

Moore, a 26-year-old mother of four young children, was working as a clerk when a person walked into Doug’s Eastside Convenience Store after 10 p.m. wearing a mask and possibly gloves.

The suspect asked for cigarettes and then shot Moore when she turned around.

Police released surveillance footage and asked for the public’s help in finding a suspect.

Her father, Charles Moore, said she was devoted to her children.

“She did everything she possibly could for them and then more. And what she didn’t do, she asked me,” Moore said.

The last time he heard from his daughter was just a few hours before the shooting happened when they talked about getting dinner for the kids.

“I knew she really, really loved me. But since her passing, there was no doubt in my mind that she loved me. The kind of love that is unconditional. Can’t replace that, but I’ll always remember it. I’ll always remember it. I’ll remember it through them (her kids). They’ll keep me going. I’m going try to do my best, my best for them. I want to make her proud looking down on these babies. I want her to know when she was here, she didn’t have nothing to worry about because G-Daddy had them. I want her to know, now that she’s going home, I’m going do the same thing,” Moore said.
