A man in Oklahoma has been arrested and is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old.
According to a Canadian County probable cause affidavit, the 13-year-old victim stated that on February 1, her step father, 38-year-old Jon Michael Littleton, had entered her bedroom, got underneath her blanket and made sexual advances at her.
The victim’s mother entered the room looking for Littleton when she saw the sexual act occurring before calling police.
Oklahoma City Police responded to the Yukon home where they took Littleton into custody and booked him on one count of lewd acts with a minor.
In 2020, the Oklahoma City Police Crimes Against Children Unit investigated similar allegations where the victim stated that her adopted father, Littleton, had sexually assaulted her on several occasions.
That case was presented to the Canadian County District Attorney’s Office, but was declined due to insufficient evidence.
After the allegations in 2020, the family installed cameras inside of the home because they believed the victim was being untruthful, the affidavit said.
The victim’s mother said the cameras were installed to observe what was happening in the home, but on February 1, the camera footage that faced the victim’s bedroom was deleted.
The victim’s mother also said that only her and Littleton had access to that footage.
Police obtained a search warrant for Littleton’s phone and Apple Watch that the victim’s mother had provided to police.
After a search was conducted, sexual text messages from January 31, 2023 were found between Littleton and the victim.
The affidavit stated that these messages involved the two discussing to meet for sex.
On February 6, the 13-year-old victim told investigators several incidents with Littleton at the Yukon home that occurred over a four-year period.
The victim stated that she discussed the relationship in 2020, but no one believed her and there was no evidence.
Littleton is now facing 14 counts of lewd acts with a minor, one count of first-degree rape, one count of rape by instrumentation and one count of lewd proposals.
