An 18-year-old Alabama man has been identified as the victim killed at a birthday party early Sunday in which more than 100 rounds were fired.

The victim has been identified as Montraevious DeWayne Milton.

The shooting happened at an Airbnb in Birmingham’s Inglenook community that was apparently rented for the party.

Just after 2 a.m., East Precinct officers began getting reports of shots fired in the 4100 block of 49th Terrace North in the Inglenook community. While they were en route, dispatchers notified them someone had been wounded, said Officer Truman Fitzgerald.

When police arrived, they found Milton unresponsive in the roadway. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service pronounced him dead on the scene.

Fitzgerald said preliminary information indicates a birthday party was taken place at the house. An argument erupted and shots were fired.

Investigators recovered more than 100 spent shell casings.

“We do believe it was isolated and contained to the partygoers,’’ Fitzgerald said.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call homicide investigators at 205-254-1764 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
