The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is searching for a suspect after a 21-year-old Maryland woman was found shot to death in D.C. late Tuesday night, according to reports.
MPD said officers responded to the 1200 block of Valley Avenue, Southeast for sounds of gunshots around 11:41 p.m. Once at the scene, police found a shooting victim later identified as Alison Cienfuegos-Vasquez.
Police said Cienfuegos-Vasquez was pronounced dead on the scene and taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
