A 24-year-old Michigan woman has been charged with the murder of another woman outside a Livonia party store, according to reports.
Lania Julieah Conn was arraigned on charges of second-degree murder and felony firearm.
It is alleged she shot 27-year-old Markayla Sadler in the head after the two women got into an argument began inside the store on Merriman Road which erupted outside at 12:53 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18.
Conn and a 24-year-old male from Detroit fled the scene. The Livonia Police Department responded and found Sadler dead at the scene.
An acquaintance of the victim, 25-year-old Cory Leniel Campbell of Detroit, has also been charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
Conn remains in jail. Campbell was released on $5,000 bond.
A probable cause hearing is scheduled for August 3. A preliminary exam is scheduled for August 10.
