The family and friends are grieving the loss of a 31-year-old woman from Florida who was tragically killed in what appears to be a murder-suicide on Monday.

Linda Henry-Legrier recounted the chilling conversation she had with her daughter the night before she was found dead. Her daughter had requested her to visit on Sunday and take custody of her 5-year-old son, Josiah.

“She had already packed a bag and insisted that I ensure he gets away from this situation. I tried my best to convince her to leave. I pleaded with her and begged her to go. But she refused,” expressed Henry-Legrier.

On Monday morning, Henry-Legrier went to her daughter’s apartment where she discovered Linda-Ann and her boyfriend lying on the ground with gunshot wounds.

“I’m still trying to come to terms with it. I had asked her to leave, but she wouldn’t listen,” she shared.

Linda-Ann’s brothers, Antonio and Tommy, revealed that she was excited about her new apartment and had a job interview scheduled for Monday morning. They emphasized that she always prioritized her son above everything else.

“Her son was her shining knight, the love of her life. My sister will never have the opportunity to say goodbye to her son. It’s incredibly sad. The pain is different,” lamented Tommy.

The family’s current focus is to care for Linda-Ann’s son and raise awareness about domestic violence.

“At this moment, I would advise anyone to simply leave if they’re in a similar situation. Love shouldn’t cause harm. If you love yourself, walk away. You don’t want to leave a child behind,” Tommy urged.
