The Lansing Police Department in Michigan has released a map that shows the route of a suspect who kidnapped a 2-year-old girl early Monday morning.
“This is the route we believe that Rashad Trice may have taken with 2-year-old Wynter Smith in the car the night of July 2nd. If you are driving on this route tomorrow, we ask you to watch out for anything unusual along the way that could possibly lead us to Wynter,” police said.
Police say the suspect stabbed his girlfriend before kidnapping the child from her home. The girlfriend suffered non-life threes injuries, according to police. The child does not belong to him.
Rashad Trice was arrested in St. Clair Shores at around 5:50 a.m. this morning after leading police on a chase and crashing into a police officer at speeds of 100 mph.
2-year-old Wynter Smith was not in the car and is still missing.
They were last seen in a 2013 white Chevrolet Impala. The license plate is EJR6098.
“This is a very urgent situation”, Lansing police said. The FBI has joined the search.
If you have any information on where they could be, you are asked to contact the Lansing Police Department at 517-483-4600 or call Crime Stoppers at 517-483-7867.
