A Tennessee father has been found guilty after falling on and killing his baby while under the influence, according to reports.
Jesse Wayne Craddock was charged with first-degree murder, aggravated child neglect and simple possession of fentanyl.
On April 3, 2021, an unresponsive 4-month-old was found at the Travel Inn on Murfreesboro Road. The infant later died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center of asphyxiation after life-saving efforts were made, according to Lebanon police.
The caretaker of the infant at the time also went to the hospital and was later identified to be Craddock, the infant’s father.
The police investigation revealed that Craddock had been high on fentanyl and fell on the infant.
Sentencing for Craddock is scheduled for November.
