A Georgia murder suspect has been arrested after the fatal shooting of a teenager, authorities said Wednesday.
Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen identified the victim as 15-year-old Juanya Holliman.
According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the shooting at 710 E. Cedar St., Good Hope Baptist Church, around 9:22 p.m. Tuesday.
Holliman was shot in the upper body and pronounced dead at 9:49 p.m. Tuesday at a local hospital. An autopsy has been scheduled.
Authorities said Wednesday afternoon they’d arrested 15-year-old Tyrone Dorsey who was charged as an adult with murder.
He was transported to the Charles B. Webster Detention Center, then the Regional Youth Detention Center, according to deputies.
