A 34-year-old pregnant Ohio mother of five who was shot and killed over the weekend in Cincinnati has been identified Monday morning, according to online reports.

Nia Booker died after a shooting around 6 p.m. Saturday night at Rockdale and Harvey avenues.

Police said Booker was shot while sitting in the passenger seat of a car. The driver of the car rushed Booker to UC Medical Center, where she later died.

According to Cincinnati police, the baby survived and is in critical condition as of Monday. Police said any further medical update would come from Children’s Hospital.

Police have not released information on a suspect. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Cincinnati police.

A GoFundMe has been set up for the woman’s family to assist with funeral and burial arrangements. You can donate here.

On Monday, Booker’s family released a statement, saying: “Our family was devastated to learn of the tragic loss of our daughter, niece and cousin Nia Booker due to a senseless act of violence. Nia was a loving, mother of 5 and had dedicated her life to doing all she could to ensure their lives were enriched and happy. Our family condemns any act of violence and hope that justice will be served swiftly. We also pray this serves as a wake-up call to the community about the widespread impact that can be had on innocent lives when guns are accessible to so many. May her memory be a source of strength and inspiration to those who knew her, and may her children find comfort and support in the midst of their grief.”
