A 19-year-old North Carolina woman was shot and killed now two other women are in custody for her murder, according to reports.
Officers responded to a shooting in the 1300 block of Sawyer Road in Raleigh at approximately 12:22 a.m. on Saturday morning, police said in a news release early Sunday.
The victim was identified as 19-year-old Taliyah “Leeaah” Watson.
Watson suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, where she died, police said.
Police arrested 21-year-old A’shante Freeman in connection with Watson’s death, and charged her with murder, according to the release.
On Sunday night, police said in an update that they had also arrested and charged 23-year-old Jordan Sanders with murder.
An investigation into Watson’s death remains ongoing, and police said that additional information “will be released at the appropriate time.”
