A 26-year-old Oregon mother of three was shot and killed early Sunday morning in Southeast Portland, according to reports.

Officers responded to the intersection of Southeast Foster Road and 86th Avenue around 4:08 a.m. and found a total of three people with gunshot wounds. One person died and two others were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Portland police.

A family member said Cali Bolden was shot and killed. Bolden leaves behind three young children ages 8, 2 and 10 1/2 months old, according to the family member. They also said that Bolden’s husband unexpectedly died 11 months ago.

Portland police have not yet identified the person who died.

Shootings have become more common around the Foster Road neighborhood, neighbors said.

“It’s getting bad out here. It’s really bad out here,” David Quintero, a neighbor said.

Some people are considering moving out of the southeast Portland neighborhood, due to the crime.

“It makes me want to move actually,” Quintero said. “Out of Portland.”

Quintero said he doesn’t let his three children out of the house unless they are supervised, because of the rise in crime. He’s also cut back on visiting local parks.

Others said they have already moved away from the area.

“I just had to move out to a safer place,” Israel Rayo, who works at a nearby gas station said. “I have two kids and every time I would wake up, they would wake up. Hearing cops and everything man.”

Police have not said what led to the shooting or if they are looking for any suspects.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Detective Jeffrey McGuire or Detective Jeff Sharp and reference case number 23-270284.
