The 29-year-old Arkansas woman killed in a Saturday night shooting on Greene Street in Magnolia has been identified, according to reports.

Coroner Randy Reed identified the victim as 29-year-old Chariot Ieshia Hildreth.

Hildreth died at the scene.

Police Chief Todd Dew said two other persons were wounded in the shooting and have since been taken to out-of-town hospitals for treatment. Their identities have not been released. Officers continue to investigate statements from the wounded persons and other witnesses.

The shooting was reported at about 11:45 p.m. Saturday at the residence at 1214 Greene, which is on the northwest corner of Greene and Pearce streets.

Many people were attending a party at the house when gunfire broke out. Dew said it’s not clear how many people fired shots, but that there may have been more than one gunman. It’s not yet known what prompted the gunfire, he said.

One of the injured persons was taken to Magnolia Regional Medical Center by private vehicle. Several officers were dispatched to MRMC for crowd control.

No arrests have been made.

Chief Dew urges anyone with information about the shooting to call 911, the Magnolia Police Department at 870-234-2323, or the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 870-234-5655.
