A 33-year-old Ohio woman is dead after a double shooting in Riverside Wednesday morning, according to reports.
According to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office, 33-year-old Sarah Westbrooks died in the shooting, which sent two people to the hospital.
The other victim suffered life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to UC Medical Center following the shooting.
It happened around 7:50 a.m. when officers responded to the 3200 block of River Road for a report of shots fired.
Officials believe the shooting originated in a nearby alley. The vehicle then came down a driveway and crossed River Road and went into the woods.
Officers on scene found two shooting victims inside the crashed vehicle and a child, who was uninjured.
Officials believe there is another vehicle involved but don’t know the description or where it fled to.
Fire officials said no one at Riverside Academy was involved in the incident.
“Today is a tragedy for everyone here,” Cincinnati Police Chief Terri Theetge said.
