A 28-year-old Florida man was arrested on allegations he fatally shot a woman after the pair had a long argument, according to multiple reports.

Derrick Feliciano Bargman-Williams faces murder charges in connection with the Wednesday fatal shooting of 25-year-old Jessica Frankel Singleton.

Investigators with the Miramar Police Department said first responders arrived at a home along DeSoto Drive at around 8:30 a.m. after receiving a call about an alleged domestic situation.

When officials arrived on the scene, they found Singleton with gunshot wounds lying on her side near a car. She sustained gunshot wounds in the front and back of her torso. She was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, according to the outlet.

Two children — ages 4 and 1 years old — were present at the scene when law enforcement arrived, and one of them allegedly told officers, “Daddy did it to mommy, and mommy is dead.” according to the arrest report. Police obtained Ring camera footage showing a little boy chasing after a man — later identified as Bargman-Williams — while yelling “Daddy, Daddy, Daddy!.”

A police K-9 unit eventually located Bargman-Williams hiding in some bushes several blocks away in the neighborhood, and he was bitten by a canine before being taken into custody.

“We had a very dangerous person in the community and the K-9 was able to locate him and help us bring him into custody,” Tania Ruez, a spokesperson with the Miramar Police Department, said.

During his interrogation with police, police allege Bargman-Williams initially denied his involvement in the shooting, but confessed eventually that he had been the one running away from the crime scene in the Ring camera footage obtained and that the boy yelling after him was his son.

Bargman-Williams told police he and Singleton had been arguing the night before, which police allege lasted until the morning and turned physical inside the home.

The altercation then continued outside the home, which led to Bargman-Williams taking out a gun and shooting Singleton in the chest, according to the arrest report. He allegedly shot her a second time as she turned away from him before fleeing the scene.

According to a Facebook post viewed by Illicit Deeds, Singleton and Bargman-Williams have four children together.

Bargman-Williams was booked into the Broward County jail, according to the Miami Herald. It’s not immediately clear if he has retained an attorney or entered a plea.
