On March 14, a shooting was reported around 6:45 p.m. on Quinn Avenue near South Parkway East and Wilson Street in Memphis, Tennessee. A girl was hospitalized with critical injuries.

Allegedly, the shooting stemmed from a street fight in front of the home on Quinn Avenue involving children and a woman, later identified as Tamara Plummer.

Much of the incident was captured on camera and posted to social media.

The suspect, 42-year-old Je’On Davis, was charged with first-degree murder in the woman’s death, while 20-year-old Destiney Plummer is accused of shooting at Davis after he allegedly shot her mother.

Davis, whose daughters were part of the fight, told investigators that he confronted Plummer before walking away. He then got a gun from someone before he went back to Plummer and shot her at least three times, he told investigators.

However, investigators found security footage showing that he walked to his SUV in his driveway across the street to get a handgun before he walked toward Plummer in “a straight, aggressive” manner and shot her. Police said that the woman died at the scene.

Allegedly after her mother was shot, Destiney Plummer fired shots at Davis. The gunfire struck two other people, records show. Destiney told investigators that she had a gun but it went off by accident.

Plummer was charged with Reckless Endangerment with a Deadly Weapon, records show.
